The decision-making body of the Central European Anti-Doping Organization (CEADO) held its annual Board Meeting in Budapest. CEADO, which was established in Budapest in 2019 partly on the initiative of Hungary, aims to coordinate and strengthen international anti-doping efforts. Its founding members include the national anti-doping organizations of Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Later, the Czech Republic and Romania also joined the collaboration. The event was attended in person by the reprezentatives of the Hungarian Ministryof Defence, State Secretariat of Sport, as well as Benjamin Cohen, President of the International Testing Agency (ITA), representing the global anti-doping community. This year’s meeting was of particular significance as it approved the accession of Cyprus and Greece to CEADO, adopted several international anti-doping declarations — notably regarding the Enhanced Games — and decided on deepening the cooperation between CEADO and ITA in the fight against doping.
