The Hungarian National Anti-Doping Organisation (HUNADO) is committed to implementing the highest quality doping control programme not only in Hungary but also in other countries, in addition to monitoring Hungarian athletes. A level playing field for athletes can only be guaranteed if all nations carry out their anti-doping activities to the same standard.
We are delighted that starting in 2024, Dr. Gergely Balázs Szabó will also be able to contribute to this mission as a member of the Council of Europe's expert team.
The Council of Europe's expert group will formulate its recommendations after discussions with representatives of the Armenian sports administration, including the Deputy Minister of Sport of Armenia, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice, the Armenian National Anti-Doping Organization, and the Armenian Olympic Committee from 25-27 June 2024, and after a detailed analysis of the country's national regulations. The audit report will be adopted in Strasbourg this autumn.
